How it works

01. Open textportal.app on the device you are sending from.
02. Type or paste your text, click the ⇅ share button, then Start sharing.
03. Scan the QR code on a phone, or open textPortal on the other device, click the ⇅ share button and enter the key.
04. Copy the text on the receiving device. It updates as you type.

Works when normal copy paste does not

What happens to the text?

Sessions run for 1 to 60 minutes. When a session expires or is stopped, its shared text is deleted. There is no receiving-side account, no message history, no third-party analytics, and no tracking pixels.

Do I need an account?

No. textPortal works without an account on either side. Accounts are optional and only save canvases between visits.

Can I copy paste from phone to computer?

Yes. Open textPortal on the sending device, click the ⇅ share button and start sharing, then scan the QR code on the receiving device.

Can one key reach several devices?

Yes. One session key can be opened by many receivers at the same time.

Is shared text stored permanently?

No. Shared text is deleted when the session expires or is stopped.
